strings

Hey guys a 2 part post. First off what kind of strings and gauges does everyone play. Secondly does anybody know of a coated string (preferably round wound) that has a wound G-string? I've been wanting some wound Gs for my tele, i feel it gets a little more oomph that way. However being a musician on a tight budget i really like the coated strings that last longer. Your thoughts are as always appreciated.
