So I'm the most indecisive person on the planet. I wanna put some raging metal pickups in my Gibson Explorer but I'm not sure which way to leap. I keep watching videos on youtube and some of them sound phenomenal and some of them sound like ass.

I can only afford to do this once, so since you guys are all experts tell me what you recommend! If you can post a link to a video or a sound file that you think gives a great example of a particular pickups tone that would be fantastic.

My goal here is just more clarity with gain. I actually really like the sound of the 500t with lower gain, but it seems like when I play more than 3 notes they run together and sound like mush, and single note runs seem kind of mushy too. I think any one of these sets would be an improvement, but I just can't decide which.

I have the emg zakk wylde set in a schecter,
I can see why people like them but I hardly ever play it,
seems very harsh and not all all relaxing.
But they are good for clarity with gain.
Maybe too much clarity, all the string noise and bum notes stand out.

A bit of mud hides a lot, some of my favourite music doesnt sound so good over high quality kit, you realise its all a bit out of tune and you can hear a lot more mistakes.

I would leave it stock.
