Good evening Ibanez Jem lovers. I have been working on this for months and finally here is the finished product. I understand there are a few of you here that have had bad dealings with a place called Sims guitars. I am here to put that all to rest. The only thing he is truly guilty of is taking an exorbitant amount of time to complete a project ( in my case it was 5 months... thanks COVID-19). I am more than ecstatic about the job that was done. He takes his time to make sure everything is perfect. From the Ibanez logo on the headstock to the lions claw that is vibrant as it should be to the pink JEM logo on the headstock. He even fixed the damage that was incurred by the post office for nothing.. Thanks Pat...The man truly has an attention to detail that is second to none. Along with the brand new PAF pro humbuckers to the single ICSV single coil in the middle. This baby plays like a dream. i hope you enjoy checking it out as much as I enjoy it ... It's for sale if anyone wants to buy it ... NAH.... just playin...

Rock ON people

Fantastic looking guitar.

I'm not to familiar with Sims however, is he just someone who paints guitars?

Or does he do replica builds?

I've got an 87 road flare red that needs some patches but all my techs are telling me it's best to just repaint it.

I just spent a grand on just getting it as is. I feel like repainting is something I could have don't to my black 88 and called it a day but I got ahold of an official genuine lefty road flare.

Feel like a repaint is sacrilegious to an extent.

Seems like everyone does swirls now days..
Agreed, but I don't see anyone really doing them well. I thought that a couple on Sims site looked pretty good, but his reputation scares me off.
I almost sent in my 1990 rg500 my wife gave me as a wedding gift. She would have killed me slowly for the next 30 years if it disappeared lol.

I got ahold of an actual road flare red and I feel it's just as rare as a lefty.
I'd go as far as to say irreplaceable.

Have you considered doing the swirl yourself and then having an auto body shop seal and clear it?

Alot of people do them at home with spray paint and they don't turn out too bad.

So the one from the USA.

I've spoken to him a few times to try and get a quote in the past.

I don't think it's worth the risk. Local along is worrying me cause I left a body at a paint shop so they can mix a paint for me.
