Currently have a Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 with a 1960A cab and to be honest I just don't play it. I'm not in a band anymore, nor do I have time for a band. So I just feel this amp is wasting away in my apartment, and is taking up too much space.

I'm not sure what I can sell the half stack for, but if any of you have any suggestions on pricing, let me know.

I want to get a 2x12 combo (hopefully without laying ANY cash down, solely purchasing on the money I get from the marshall). My problem is, it has been quite some time since I have looked at any new guitar products. Last I tried was a line6 Flextone II and was actually REALLY impressed. Perhaps a Vetta? I don't know what they go for now but I can assume my marshall is around that price range.

So, please recommend me an amp that I can afford with the money made on the Marshall.

I play a lot of hardcore/metal sounding music. However, I do like a soft, vibrant clean channel.

Thank you all.

you could proabbyl get a used boogie 2x12 combo for between 800 and 1000.. like a nomad or F series.. i dont' really know what you could get for the half stack, but my guess is that it'll be enough to get a real decent used Mesa combo. don't rule out mesa yet if you really like them. if nothing else you'll get pretty close and only have to put in a little bit more money. although i hear the legacy is nice.. i may purchase a Head in the future to complement my Mesa Mark IV. good luck man.

Sell it for a Mesa Nomad combo if you go Mesa.

The Fender Blues Jr. is a killer 15 watt all tube practice amp but does not have much gain. The Classic 30/50 has a little bit more gain to it and a meaner gain sound (Tube Screamer!!!!!!) but I think the Blues Jr.'s clean is a little better (but the Classic 30/50s are still great sounding amps!)
