TRS-101 in 80's JS100 Made in Korea

G'day all. I am in 2 minds as to the trem in my JS100. It has a TRS-101 with TAKEUCHI Made in Japan stamped into the block and I've been told that these were the best trem until the Edge came along. Is this factual?
