"humbuckers" (double-coil pickups) are typically two single coil pickups that are reverse wound & reverse pole (to thus cancel hum). So they're one in the same typically speaking.

No I'm just learning. I know they cancel him but I wasn't sure if they same thick sound.

Not all humbuckers have a thick sound, vintage wound pickups with a low DCR can be almost painfully bright in the bridge position.
