Hi everyone, nice forum you've got yourself here.

I have one of the original 60 1990 MC universes... But no case. Ibanez are being the least helpful they could ever be with me just sending me endless pages of products they are selling despite many direct attempts to get in touch with them.

I was wondering if anyone would know a good quality case which fits the long headstock in please?

Any help would be greatly recieved.
Thanks
James

Thanks very much.

It was at least 1068? or 38 or something, produced with multi-colour, but from a pretty good source i was told that in 1990 they didn't make too many. May be totally wrong, if i am, at least i look more special to those not in the know. lol

Cheers

it's neither true or false.

we have one side of the story and supposition that is collected by watching which UV77MCs are sold.

only an obnoxious individual would say darren's recollection was mostly incorrect.

now what ibanez did behind all our backs is another story ;)

ring up your sources and get the version from Ibanez and that will be added to the specs ...glen

earth to rich - i don't disagree the numbers are off but i'm not going to state FACT based on a small sampling of guitars sold on the internet and more recently on **** with an axe to grind.

what % of MCs do you have photographs of? are you up to even 10% yet?

with all due respect, kindly STFU until you get Ibanez' version of the story :) ...glen

You're barking up the wrong tree. If you want Ibanez' story, go get it yourself, add plenty of salt as usual.

It was way past 100 the last time we argued about it
MONTHS ago. I have probably 15 more to add now, predominantly MKR, of course.

Axe to grind? Yea, truth is always the axe right?

Since the model was officialy released in 1991, by the late 1990 Ibanez was already making them. If the total (best guess) number of UVMCs is around 1000-1100, and you consider that in 1991 they were painting them both in the USA and in Japan, I guess that at least 80% of them or more were made in 1991 (from the pictures Ive seen where most of them had Lo Pros).

Rich has a sample of this guitars (around 110) were about 70% of them were swirled in japan. I would also be interesting to know how many of this were made in 1990 (you can tell because the 90s had en edge and the 91s had a Lo Pro Edge).

So my guess, and its just a guess, is that at least 100 but less than 200 of the Japanase swirls were made in 1990 (if you asume that production began in late 1990).

I own a couple of japanese UVMC, and one of them was made in 1990.
