http://www.nymphusa.com/tele/ use the "virtual guitar" link on the left of the page.
you can use their software to build and view ideas. i have no clue where to actually get your own software but someone might have an idea and chime in for ya. fun stuff.

I have the same question. I tried the webpage out, and it's kind of cool, but I'm wondering where can I get a software like that, but to be install in my PC, and not to be used from the webpage. If someone knows about it, PM, please! Thanks a lot in advanced.

That's a cool design, apmaman!!! Where can I get that software? I've been looking for so long for something like that! It would be so great to finally have a cool software to design my dream guitars! So, where can I get it? Thanks!

You can buy it. costs about £300 or more depending on what you get. Cinema 4D is also Veeerrryyy good. I got mines from my school, I got a loan of the CD to help with my course last year and kept it installed hehe.

You could find it on a torrent if so you wish but, thats up to you. Cinema 4D, lightwave 3D, bryce are all great tools. Auto-cad as well. That one is more techinical however. Any one of those software tools can easily make high end effects. I belive Cinema 4D was used in the newest King Kong.

Heres my album that shows my attempts at trying to get a swirl
