Hi everybody,

Any hints?

The volumepoti of my rg2550 is so tight to work with, that I can't use all this 'fade-in' effects. I really have to put hand on to turn volume down for e.g.

I already took a closer look at it.. couldn't solve the prob.

Was it always like that? If not give it a good blast of contact cleaner.

Sounds like you have too much crud built up in your volume pot. Try cleaning it, but if it doesn't work just replace the volume pot. Eventually pots accumulate so much crud that it's almost shot.

Isn't the contact cleaner the 'hard way'?

No harder than taking the scratch plate off and squirting it through the holes in the back of the pot. If it is faulty you'll have to pull the guitar apart to replace it anyway.

Ok, I'll try the contact spray as recommended and if it fails I'll replace it!
