Hi everyone, long time since I posted here.

I recently bought an Ibanez FGM that I just replaced the strings and had to adjust the spring tension on the back of the guitar as well. I also unscrewed the neck of the guitar to sand away some of the lacquer on the back. Nothing too fancy.

Anyway after putting the pieces back together I noticed that whenever I use the trem the guitar makes a clanky sound that seems to come either from the neck or the back of the body. I'm not sure what is causing this but its a pain since it becomes really loud when amplified. My trem is basically unusable if I don't get rid of this sound.

Here's a short
where you can hear it (you may need to turn up your volume).

Any ideas on what is causing this and how to solve it? I really need to get rid of this sound.

Thanks for the help everyone.
Fed

PS: Here's a pic of the guitar just for viewing enjoyment:

First off SWEET FGM!
How's the tuning stability?
Where does it sound like the cracking is coming from? Just me thinking out loud but could it be the neck pickup ring rubbing against the back of the neck itself?

Actually I took the guitar apart again cuz Im changing pickups on this one so I will get back to you guys when I put it back together again.
I will try to screw the back screws in as much as possible and maybe lose a spring to compensate for the added tension.

Thanks fo the help guys !
