Hi there!
Does anybody of the Ibanez Experts here know something about this model?
what talman model is it exactly? is it japanese or korean? how is the trem?
out of which wood is it made? how much is it worth.....
the seller can´t tell me anything about this model.
i´m sorry i have only this picture and i know it´s hard to identify the model, but maybe someone can help me.

Agreed!

yes, now i totally agree with you guys.
you can identify the model by its colour.
the guitar was made in ´97, you can tell by the serial.
this year was the only year ibanez used this surfgreen-colour on talman guitars.
and the only model this colour was used on was the TC740MN, as seen in the catalogue, there with two lipsticks and a humbucker--->custom pickguard!
thank you! the guitar costed 800$.

could you in generall say, the higher the model number the better the guitar?
i mean can you say a tc720 is better in craftmanship and hardware than the tc420 for example?
is this guitar worth buying it?

Personally I like the original resoncast MIJ Talmans best, but that one looks quite tasty. Not a terribly useful pickup combination to me, but there you go.

Generally, though, you're right about the numbering. A higher first number indicates that the guitar was higher up the range.

does anyone know what what the necks are like?
as written in the catalogue the 740 has one of the talman MR necks...
what profile is it like (is it as thin as the s or rg series, or more les paul like)?and what is so special about these necks.
what does ibanez mean with "multiradius neck"?

I'd guess it means that the neck is rounder near the nut for more comfy chords, and flatter higher up for easier soloing?

The neck on my '94 Talman is very nice - quite a bit thicker than an RG neck, but not quite LP chubby. Similar in feel to an SZ neck, I suppose, but with a much lighter feel to it (just lacquered, not painted).

Yeah, thats what I thought it would have been like. I doubt it will be anywhere near as chubby as a Les Paul. I actually quite like those SZ profiles. They were big compared to the Wizard necks and the like, but it still felt comfy!

that kind of profile would be cool...
because i played an s 470 dx... and the neck was much toooo slim/thin for me.. could´t hardly play it ;-)
but if the talman necks are a bit fatter... that would be ok.
i have a blade durango...i think the neck goes in this direction then.
