Hey folks,

So, I've been digging Richie Kotzen's tone.
It's really simple actually! I know I won't get it exactly because it's all about those little things called fingers. However, I'm just wondering about what type of amp he is using in the two-tone sessions here. I understand he switches around a lot... Fender, Marshal, and cranford(?)

I've been thinking of picking up a Satin Urethane tele and a little amp that can help me get this kinda southern bluesy tone.

i dont know about the standard finish fender amp but the blonde amp looks like a super sonic.

hmmm...
While the fender clean is growing on me. I still would like an amp with a nice overdrive tone to it.

I wonder if this amp will help me achieve all the tones I want.

maybe a Fender twin 65 reverb and or Super sonic twin paired with Dimarzio chopper/twang king combo + whatever pedal(s) he's got would be pretty close

His tone on the Winery Dogs CD is just good stuff. And he killed it live, though I couldn't hear him as well as I'd've liked since I was RIGHT in front of Billy Sheehan's amp.

Here's a video from 2012 of Richie himself showing his guitar rig. I'm not sure how much it's changed since then, but I suspect very little. He's always been a minimalist when it comes to gear.
