Apple recommends you delete Apps you never use to free up space on your computer. Heeding their advice, I set about doing some computer housekeeping. For macOS to work, some Apps can not be deleted. You will find most of them in the Utilities folder. Chess is one of those apps. (PhotoBooth is another.) There are explanations for why these apps can not be deleted, but it seems Chess is simply that...an app that allows you to play Chess. What else does “Chess” do to make itself a critical component to macOS?
