Hi, do anyone have a suggestion, how to wire just one humbucker with a
standard 5-way switch on a RG570, to get the most variations,
series, parallel, in/out of phase, singlecoil, direct to output etc.
If you wanted all those combinations, you'd probably need to get a megaswitch of some sort. Mind you there ARE some interesting combinations you can get off a single humbucker, but without a megaswitch, your options are limited.
Actually the most useful combination that I've found on a one humbucker wiring is a 3-way switch wired so that you have:
outer coil - Humbucker(in series) - inner coil
A push-pull switch can be added to switch between series parallel wiring options. I actually did this to an RG321 that I installed a mini amp into the Neck Pickup cavity(ESP/Edwards Speak Up) and it only had 1 humbucker in the bridge. Pretty F'n cool cause I managed to turn a RG321 into a travel guitar(Am tempted to try this on an H-S-H guitar)
