I'm guessing if you're using the original fabric the harder Jem style edges are easier to complete the finish than the rounded Pia ones?

I'd possibly be tempted to go a little wild on the wiring if going custom anyway.
E.g. an extra switch to tap the humbuckers so you can get some extra sounds. (E.g. both neck and bridge humbuckers on, both neck and bridge as single coils on are both useful extra options).
Maybe a small pink arcade button killswitch for the Tom Morello/Buckethead thing. I did this on my modded PGM100 and like it a lot. It's got rounded edges and a killswitch:

Years ago I rescued a PGM100. I've just done my latest addition to it as it's now my play anything stunt guitar.. Latest mod: 2x magnets on the lower horn for slide.
