I'm sort of on a low budget for this one... salvaged a fred out of my trashbox ... pickup wire is to short..taken it apart and planning to solder a new 4 conductorcable to it. Now I need a paf pro or paf Joe for the neck... with the Chrome screws to match the fred. I try to find a second hand with a little work... just for fun..anyone have any spare ??

Joe. The Pro's bottom end is too fat and overpowers the Fred.

throw the fred in the neck position and get a mo'joe for the bridge. The fred is an ok bridge pickup, but is phenomenal in the neck.

Fred in the neck and Norton in the bridge is a fire breathing dragon too. Harmonics out the wazoo.
