That second board was made by Thomas Nordegg, Steve’s guitar tech of 20+ years before Doug M took over a couple years ago. Doug made the red one for the Beat tour.

I had Thomas make a duplicate of the black board you pictured for me a few years ago, he ironically said it was so much work he would never do it again.. but I’ll check and see if maybe he’ll change his mind. It’s huge, you should have seen the box- and it was not cheap.

 

Oh wow, I didn’t expect to get that kinda feedback! I had a feeling it was custom made lol. Thats amazing that you have contact with Nordegg, let alone get him to make you a board! Size is not really an issue for me, I honestly need it to be big like that to fit all of my rig. Price might be my only issue. Maybe I could somehow find a dimensions / CAD / blueprint of the specs, materials, etc, and assemble it myself? I really like how these boards look!

 

 

I can try to take some general specs for you. It’s got some secret sauce stabilization and such but it’s too heavy and loaded with gear for me to capsize and show. Plus I kind of consider it Thomas’ IP.

 

Ah, that makes sense. Well if you don’t mind, any specs would be lovely. I saw you have contact and or relations with Thomas, but I wouldn’t want to be a bother to you or him in terms of possibly having him make another, or give me any specs to make a replica. Do you know if he has a business contact of some sorts?
