So, has someone been to the Favored Nations ( http://www.favorednations.com/ ) website recently, and checked out the Steve Vai "Artist Site"?
That's an interesting looking "JEM" he's got there...
Denim?
Clouds?
The artwork for "The Elusive Light And Sound"?
It's hard to tell from the pic, but I think I like it better than the new one.
Anyone knows anything about it???

i believe this guitar was talked about once, when the new jem was expected to come. (try searching for "New Jem" or "Vai Photos" or something, i know that topic features a lot of very cool tour photos).

i believe that the color is BLACK, and that funny stuff on the body & pickguard are fingerprints :)
but i would like to be wrong and see a new color :)
