Edge Zero T Block Problem

Hey guys, I went to restring my guitar today and it was going fine until I tried to loosen the B string at the bridge. The screw to hold the block in place comes out fine but the the T block itself will not budge, so the string is stuck. I'v tried putting WD40 into it and trying to move it using various screwdrivers but I just can't get it.

I was thinking that if I could remove the saddle I could get at it from the other side and possible move it, however when i take out the screw that holds the saddle in place, I can't remove the saddle due to the fine tuner screw being in the way.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how i could fix this problem with the bridge?

P.S. My guitar is an Ibanez RG2570 Prestige and the bridge is an Edge Zero.

I don't know much about the EZ bridge, but I assume it's much like the EP and LP. If you remove the saddle hold down screw you should be able to slide the saddle forward and out of the trem.

Can you post a few pics of whats going on??? It makes it a LOT easier to help you out.

Its the little block holding the string in the bridge that won't move. You can sort of make it out in the picture, its the one without a string in it because i managed to pull the string out but the block still won't move.

Also i took out the screw closest to the pickups (the very small screw) to try to remove the saddle but the fine tuner is blocking it from coming out.

There is no access from the bottom so forget that approach.

Normally I'd think the block had mushroomed from being tightened too tight. If you get it out you'll probably have to replace it.

This happened to my ZR trem. I just kept trying different things to try out pop it out with. Just try and find something with a gradual point (start rather thin) and kinda wiggle it in where the string is and it should pop out.

I'm guessing you've been trying that, it took me a while but i got mine.

What did you use to get the block to pop out? I'v tried a paperclip but it was too thick to get into the groove where the string sits.

Do not use the string slot, if you marr the saddle there you'll probably be replacing the saddle also. I'd try a micro flathead on the T crossbar sides end.

Thanks guys, i got it to move, I restrung it and it seems to be fine now. I managed to get it out using a small screwdriver and pushing it from the sides of the T like Rich said.

Also, for some reason now, the bridge can flutter, and it couldnt before. I suppose im not complaining, It's just kind of weird.
