I own both a Jackson DKMGT, and an RG520, and have owned several prestige Ibanez guitars in the recent past and I'll say that I'll never sell my Jackson. The fret work and attention to detail on the Japanese Jacksons is second to none. I say that I've owned several Prestige guitars in the past because every one of them had some sort of significant flaw. My last two Jacksons have been immaculate, and my current DK is my main go-to guitar. I've got it loaded with a Dimarzio Evolution in the bridge and a Humbucker from Hell in the neck and it's absolutely sweet. My RG520 absolutely kills anything I've seen come out from Ibanez in the last several years, so if you can't get one from Rich, or a nice used one that's 8+ years old, I'd get the Jackson.

Of course, these days I'm playing my Les Paul an awful lot, so anything I say is suspect.

Fairness and impartiality here, speaking from experience:

It all boils down to the sustainer. Basically put, the DK2S is an inferior guitar without it, though the neck profile is beautiful on those things. If you're gonna use a lot of the sustainer take that, otherwise go with the RG because it is definitely the better axe build-wise.

One other thing, you could actually save a few bucks if you go for the DK2S.

Enjoy whatever you go for :)

Edit: Forgot to mention, the Jackson has a slightly thicker neck, but not by much.
