Hi, I am new here, but I've been reading this forum for a while.
I have an original Fuji Gen RG550 with the Edge trem. An act carelessness resulted in my trem arm breaking off inside the socket. I have a drill set but no easy outs, ect. Is there a way to disassemble just that part of the trem and replace it along with the arm, or am I stuck with some sort of drilling? I just did it last night and haven't had time to really study it.
I am going thru a bit of a renovation with it (which is the reason for me busting it) and at one point had thought about replacing the entire trem with a newer unit since this one is rather old. My understanding is that my replacement options would be another Edge, Edge-Pro, or original Floyd Rose. Currently one of my posts ( non arm side) seems to be missing a cap or something as I can see threads that I don't see on the arm side which got me thinking about replacing.
I am new to working on my stuff, as evidenced ny my breaking the arm, so any advice on either a fix for the current trem or suggestions on a replacement would be hugely appreciated.
