I need help dialing in a perfect sound. I play with a very heavily distorted sound. I have plenty of mids, but it seems the only time I can get good tight, crunchy, lows, is when there is a huge mid scoop. Then I don't cut through and can't be heard. When I have my mids where I like them, I can be heard but my lows suffer. They get flabby sounding instead of gut wrenching... Are there some crucial frequencies I should be dialing out in the low-mid range or what? Any suggestions to keep mids, but get tight lows?
BTW, I'm playing a PRS through a Mesa 50/50, a rocktron Voodu Valve, the Alesis EQ, and a Sonic Maximizer...
