Got this a while back cheap on the bay but was finally able to replace the pickups. I know the MIJ Destroyers are better but this one growls pretty well.
"Mr. Smith" has a Super Distortion in the bridge and a Humbucker from Hell in the neck. I'd highly recommend this combo on this guitar!

Nice one and that's a fine looking axe! I know super distortions work great in mahogany guitars (got one in a Guild S300D).

What is the neck profile like?

Are you going to put a cover on the neck bucker to make it look like a DT50?

No on the cover. I envisioned creme pickups right when I got it. I should say this thing sounded sweet with the Powersounds that came with it. No BS! Loads of sustain! I can hear it clear as a bell unamplified.
The neck profile feels similar to Wizard 2, only at a shallower 24.75" scale. Its easier to get around than a W2, but my fingers seem to crowd up a bit when chording on the low frets. My hands are a bit big, though.
I'd like to get a DT-420 but I'll probably be on the lookout for another 200, maybe in CA or black.
Being an old Maiden fan, it's so great being able to get that sound!
