HI!

I've just constructed my new practice regimen, I basically wanna be able to do every thing thati's possible to be done on guitar and then just a little more, lol J.
Plus I wanna record an instrumental guitar album before i;m 16, (just over 11 months) so im trying to get to the best standard I can before then.
So cud you please advise me on whether this will help me in chasing my goal, thanks!

P.s. I play electric just incase you werent sure ;)

Technical bits and bobs:

20min- Pick technique

20min- Sweep Picking

20min- Tapping

20min- Legato

Scales / arpeggios e.t.c

30min Soloing Studies (i.e. Knowing that Dmin7arp will sound cool over Amin7 e.t.c)

20 min- scales / arpeggios + their construction

Chords/ Harmony

20min- Chords + their construction

Various

20 min Other styles (than instrumental rock )

15 min- Ear training

15min- Sight reading

20min- learning a song

Then I repeat technical exercises once, so it comes to about 5hrs (this is on school nights)

on weekends:

Everything played once then repeated. Then an hour of composition. About 8and a half hours.

If you could advise me on whether this is any good, needs changing , or I've missed something out e.t.c, I would be most grateful for your help, cheers!

Thats an awesome workout!

I just started a 5 hour routine myself

1hr- working on scales/intervals...etc, Basically just memorizing stuff
1hr- working on various techniques with a metronome, whatever i feel like working on at the time
1hr- Learning Vai/other challenging stuff
1hr- Focusing on one technique with a metronome
1hr- just jam out
