I'm a complete newbie regarding JS guitars.

I've found one JS1200 for sale for a good price and I have a question:
- is it normal that the serial on the back of the headstock to be different from the one on the neck plate? Should these be matched?

headstock: F060XXXX
neckplate: 015XXX

I was just wondering if this is a legit 1200 as the seller does not know much about it (and so do I, I'm just thinking getting my first JS :) )

The neck plate number is called a J Plate and it says how many JSs have been made so that one is 15,000 whatever JS made since they started. Cool that they have that I think. They used to have a J before the number but they eventually abandoned that.
