Strings keep popping out - NEED HELP!

Hi,

I just received my S5470 last night and went to set it up with .10 D'addario's. Well no matter what I do the strings keep popping out of the saddle when the string tension gets tight. I don't know what to do? I am used to floyd rose tremolos and it seems the ZR2 is strung about the same way. I used the "how to set up" guide that is found on the Jemsite. I have the string in the saddle all the way, tightened it down, but as soon as it gets to being in tune as I'm winding the string I hear it down tune a bit and then pop out of the saddle. I've went through 4 packs of strings already. It is happening to all the strings, not one in particular, although the High E has been especially prone. I just want to set it up! I bought it off ebay, it is only 2 months old. Any suggestions? Please help!

Thanks,

Mike

I also came from Floyds and I may (I said "may") have an answer for you.

The ZRs have a "T" in them where you put the string. Unlike the floyds, you do not place the string at the top of the "T", rather they are locked at the bottom of the "T", closer to the saddle. I think this is a common mistake that happens when coming from a Floyd setup to a ZR....or at least I hope it is, because I did it :)

Hey thanks for the suggestion; unfortunately, that's not it as I have it strung correctly. It's really ticking me off. I'm bringing it in today. It's practically brand new, the saddle and locks don't have worn grooves in them or anything, yet it can't hold the strings in no matter what I do.
